Kaluwankerny Beach is a coastal stretch situated near Pasikuda on Sri Lanka's East Coast, a region well regarded for its calm, shallow waters and unhurried atmosphere. Like much of this coastline, the beach draws visitors seeking a quieter alternative to busier resort areas, with the gentle surf making it generally suitable for swimming. The surrounding scenery is typical of the eastern shore — coconut palms, pale sand and fishing boats among the more common sights. Pasikuda itself serves as the nearest point for accommodation, food and practical amenities, making it the natural base from which to explore this part of the coast. The East Coast's dry season broadly falls between May and September, when conditions are most favourable for a visit.
