Day 1: Arrival, town orientation, Gregory Lake
Arrive by midday if possible. Drop your bags and walk the town centre first. Nuwara Eliya's colonial architecture — the post office, the Hill Club, the racetrack — is compact enough to cover on foot in 90 minutes.
